Biography
I trained at the Mid Warwick School of Art in the 60's and then worked as a Prop Maker for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre Company in Stratford on Avon for six years. Marriage and family came next, whilst living in St.Albans I made ceramic bowls and jugs, which I sold in the Cathedral craft shop, these were inspired by the embroidered wild flowers on the awning over St.Alban's shrine. I am now experimenting with wax resist and lustres.
We moved to the South Coast in 2003 and during the move I was unable to make pots, so I began painting in watercolours. This has proved to be both enjoyable and successful, I now find I am painting and potting, the one medium influencing the other. I am not offering my ceramics on line, only my paintings as cards and prints.
